History of Christian mission in Czech Republic

We praise God for the mather church in Ostrava and for Pastor Oskar & Helena Najt. Civic Association of Christian mission in Ostrava was established as an organizational unit of an international Christian mission in November 1999. But in 2001started as an independent civil association named "Christian mission" to work as a missionary community for the widest population of the Czech and Slovak Republics.

Pastor Oskar has big burden for lost people. He has been used in building the fellowship of churches in Czech and Slovak republic. Open air crusades and meetings are held around Ostrava and neighboring cities during the summer months. In Czech/Slovak nation, that has been programmed towards atheism and godlessness, there is a surprising openness of people hearts. Many are hearing of Jesus for the first time and are hungry for His forgiving power.

The first church to be planted from this Ostrava Church was started in Spisska Nova Ves, Slovakia (4 hours by car from Ostrava - near to Poprad). Many hundreds desperate Gypsies have been saved and Jesus make many miracles there.

Pavel & Andrea Toth became the second couple to be launched from the mother church in Ostrava. In 2008 they have planted a successful church in Havirov (30 minutes by car from Ostrava). But it does not stop. Pavel Toth was used by God to plant a new church in Hranice (1 hour by car from Ostrava). Pastor Paul Jones preached gospel at the first big evengelization meeting in the cinema in Hranice and many unbelivers converted and have been healed and delivered. The third Town touched by Pavel fellowship is Nove Mesto na Morave.

Rudolf Ferenc with his wife has been sent to plant new church in Karvina (1 hour by car from Ostrava). The church grows fast. One young cople has been sent in 2012 from the Church in Karvina to plat a new church in Mimoň (1 hour by car from Prague). Pastor Lukaš & Lucie Cervenak moved to this is a small town to start a new fellowship.
